1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using GoHereBro (the "Service," located at goherebro.com), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Use of the Service constitutes acceptance of these Terms in full.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Description of Service

GoHereBro is an independent, automated data aggregation platform that collects and displays publicly available job call information from IBEW local union dispatch pages, scale rate databases, and related public sources. The Service includes:

• An interactive map and dashboard of publicly-listed job calls, scale rates, and book numbers
• AI-assisted parsing and summarization of publicly available dispatch text ("Brain")
• A community forum for registered users
• Email and push notification alerts for watchlisted locals
• A premium "Founder" subscription tier with additional features

3. Not Affiliated with the IBEW

GoHereBro is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially connected to the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), any IBEW local union, the AFL-CIO, or any labor organization. Use of IBEW local names, numbers, and publicly posted data is solely for informational aggregation and reference purposes. GoHereBro makes no claim of ownership over any union's name, logo, or trademark. All trademarks and service marks belong to their respective owners.

4. Data Accuracy — No Warranty of Correctness

You acknowledge and agree that:

• Data is collected by automated scrapers and parsed by AI models, which are inherently imperfect
• Job calls displayed may have been filled, cancelled, modified, or may never have existed in the form shown
• Scale rates and book numbers may not reflect current or correct values
• GoHereBro is a supplemental reference tool only — always verify directly with the local union before making any employment decision
• GoHereBro is not an employment agency, staffing firm, or job placement service and makes no guarantee that using the Service will result in employment

5. AI Features — "Brain" Disclaimer

The "Brain" AI assistant uses large language models (LLMs) to answer questions about IBEW job calls and related data. You acknowledge that:

• AI-generated responses may contain errors, hallucinations, or outdated information
• No response from the Brain constitutes legal, financial, employment, or professional advice of any kind
• You should independently verify any information provided by the Brain before relying on it
• AI responses are governed by the applicable model provider's policies (currently Anthropic/Claude)

6. User Accounts and Eligibility

To access certain features you may register an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information
• Maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials
• Be at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction)
• Be solely responsible for all activity under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts at our sole discretion, with or without notice, for any reason including violation of these Terms. You may not create a new account after your account has been suspended or terminated without our express written permission. Circumventing a ban by registering a new account is a violation of these Terms and the new account will also be terminated.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Systematically scrape, crawl, or harvest data from GoHereBro (automated bulk access is prohibited without prior written consent)
• Reproduce, republish, or commercially redistribute GoHereBro's compiled data or UI
• Post content that is illegal, defamatory, harassing, threatening, obscene, or violates any third-party rights
• Post spam, unsolicited commercial messages, pyramid schemes, or chain letters
• Doxx, harass, stalk, or publish private identifying information about any person without their consent
• Upload, transmit, or distribute any malware, viruses, or malicious code
• Impersonate any person, union, contractor, or entity
• Attempt to access restricted areas of the Service, bypass security measures, or interfere with the platform's operation
• Use the Service in any way that violates applicable federal, state, or local law
• Engage in any fraudulent, deceptive, or manipulative activity
• Initiate a chargeback or payment dispute in bad faith while retaining access to features obtained through that payment

8. Forum and Community Content

The GoHereBro forum is a user-generated content space. You retain ownership of content you post, but grant GoHereBro a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display and distribute your content within the Service.

You are solely responsible for your forum posts. GoHereBro is not liable for user-generated content and reserves the right to remove any content and ban any user without notice or liability. We are not a publisher of user content and claim no editorial responsibility for it under applicable intermediary liability protections including 47 U.S.C. § 230.

DMCA / Copyright Takedown: If you believe content on the platform infringes your copyright, you may submit a takedown notice via the Support button with the following information: (a) identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed; (b) identification of the allegedly infringing material and its location on the Service; (c) your contact information; (d) a statement of good faith belief that the use is not authorized; and (e) a statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner. Upon receipt of a valid notice, we will act expeditiously to remove or disable access to the material.

9. Paid Subscriptions ("Founder" Tier)

Certain features require a paid subscription processed through Stripe, Inc. By purchasing a subscription, you agree to the following:

• Automatic Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual) unless cancelled before the renewal date
• Cancellation: You may cancel at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; no pro-rata refunds are provided for the unused portion of a period
• Refunds: All sales are final. Refunds are issued at GoHereBro's sole discretion, typically only in cases of technical errors that prevented access to the paid features for a significant portion of the billing period. Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute will result in immediate account suspension pending resolution.
• Price Changes: We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with at least 14 days' notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance
• Brain Message Quotas: Brain AI usage is subject to monthly or daily message quotas per tier. Unused quota does not roll over. Additional quota ("refill packs") may be purchased and are non-refundable
• Trial Periods: Where a free trial is offered, you must cancel before the trial ends to avoid charges. Trials are limited to one per user/household
• Payment: All payments are processed by Stripe. GoHereBro does not store payment card data. Your use of Stripe is subject to Stripe's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy

10. Intellectual Property

GoHereBro's code, design, branding, compiled data structures, AI summaries, and all original content are owned by GoHereBro and protected by applicable intellectual property law. The underlying public data (dispatch text, scale rates, etc.) belongs to the respective unions and is used for aggregation purposes only.

Nothing in these Terms grants you any license to GoHereBro's intellectual property except the limited right to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes as described herein.

11. Third-Party Services and Links

The Service integrates with or links to third-party services including Stripe (payments), Anthropic (AI), Google (OAuth authentication), and web push infrastructure. These services operate under their own terms and privacy policies, which you are encouraged to review. GoHereBro is not responsible for the practices of any third-party service.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

13. Limitation of Liability

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations of liability. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

14. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless GoHereBro and its owner(s), operators, successors, and assigns from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of or access to the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party rights; or (d) any content you submit to the Service.

15. Governing Law, Dispute Resolution, and Arbitration

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions.

Informal Resolution: Before filing any claim, you agree to first contact us via the Support button on the site and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.

Binding Arbitration: If informal resolution fails, any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service (except for small claims court actions) shall be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in a court of law. The arbitration will be conducted in Florida or, at your election, by telephone or videoconference. The arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding and may be entered as a judgment in any court of competent jurisdiction.

If the class action waiver is found unenforceable for a particular claim, that claim shall proceed in court (not arbitration), but all other claims remain subject to arbitration. You have the right to opt out of arbitration by contacting us via the Support button within 30 days of first accepting these Terms.

16. Changes to the Service

GoHereBro reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice, and without liability to you. We reserve the right to change pricing, features, or limits of any subscription tier with reasonable notice.

17. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. If GoHereBro terminates your paid subscription without cause (i.e., not due to a violation of these Terms), we will provide a pro-rata refund of any prepaid subscription fees for the unused portion of the current billing period. No refund is owed for terminations resulting from a violation of these Terms. Sections 4, 5, 7 (chargeback provision), 8, 10, 12, 13, 14, and 15 survive termination.

18. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and GoHereBro regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements, representations, or understandings.

1. Overview

GoHereBro ("we," "us," "our") operates goherebro.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described here.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information (if you register):

• Username, email address (if provided via Google OAuth)
• Password (stored as a secure bcrypt hash — plaintext is never stored)
• Profile information you optionally provide (bio, avatar)
• Google OAuth tokens if you sign in with Google (we store only your Google user ID and email)

Usage and Analytics Data:

• Pages visited, referrer URLs, session duration, browser/device type
• IP address (used for geolocation at country/region level; not stored long-term in user profiles)
• Interactions with features (map clicks, searches, local page views, alert enrollment)
• This analytics data is stored in our own database — we do not use Google Analytics or third-party analytics trackers on core platform pages

Forum and Community Content:

• Posts, replies, votes, and reputation activity you voluntarily submit to the forum
• Support messages and contact form submissions

Subscription and Billing:

• Stripe customer ID, subscription status, and plan details
• We do not store credit card numbers, CVVs, or full payment card data — all payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc.

AI Chat (Brain):

• Messages you send to the Brain AI are transmitted to Anthropic's API for processing
• We log conversation history to provide context for your session and to enforce usage quotas
• We do not use your Brain conversations to train AI models

Push Notifications (Alerts):

• If you subscribe to push alerts, we store your browser's push subscription endpoint and VAPID key association
• This is used solely to deliver job call alerts you requested

Cookies and Local Storage:

• We use a secure, HTTP-only session cookie to maintain your login state
• GoHereBro does not set cross-site tracking cookies directly
• Advertising cookies: We display advertising through Ezoic and its advertising partners. These partners may use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to serve and personalize ads, measure performance, and limit how often you see a given ad. See Section 4 and the embedded ad-partner disclosure below for details and your choices
• Other third-party services (Google OAuth, Stripe) may set their own cookies per their policies
• Do Not Track (DNT): GoHereBro does not alter its data collection practices in response to browser DNT signals, as there is no uniform standard for how to interpret them. We do not sell personal data regardless of DNT status.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To authenticate you and maintain your session
• To deliver the features you request (watchlists, alerts, Brain AI, subscriptions)
• To process payments and manage your subscription via Stripe
• To enforce usage quotas and prevent abuse
• To send transactional notifications (e.g., alert emails, subscription receipts) — we do not send marketing emails without explicit consent
• To analyze aggregate usage patterns and improve the platform
• To enforce these Terms of Service and detect fraud or abuse

4. Third-Party Services and Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party. We share data only in the following limited circumstances:

• Stripe, Inc. — for payment processing. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy
• Anthropic PBC — Brain AI messages are processed via Anthropic's API. Subject to Anthropic's Privacy Policy
• Google LLC — if you use "Sign in with Google," your Google OAuth tokens are processed by Google. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy
• Ezoic Inc. — we use Ezoic to provide and optimize display advertising and site performance. Ezoic and its advertising partners (including Google and other ad exchanges/demand partners) may collect data and set cookies to serve personalized and non-personalized ads. See Ezoic's Privacy Policy and the full, regularly updated list of advertising partners in the embedded disclosure below
• Google — as an Ezoic advertising partner and via "Sign in with Google," Google may set cookies and collect data per Google's Privacy Policy. You can manage personalized ads at adssettings.google.com
• Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or valid legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of GoHereBro or others
• Business Transfer: If GoHereBro is acquired or merged, user data may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to reasonable notice

Advertising partners & your choices: The advertising on this site is served by Ezoic and a network of partners whose list can change. The current, complete list of partners and the cookies/technologies they use is shown below (populated by Ezoic). You can opt out of personalized advertising via the consent prompt shown on the site, at Google Ad Settings, or via the DAA and EDAA opt-out tools.

5. Data Retention

• Account data: Retained while your account is active. Deleted upon written request (see Section 8)
• Forum posts: May be retained even after account deletion for community integrity, stripped of personal identifiers where possible
• Analytics logs: Retained for up to 12 months in aggregate form
• Billing records: Retained as required by financial regulations (typically 7 years)
• Push subscriptions: Automatically purged when a subscription becomes invalid or upon account deletion

6. Security and Data Breach Notification

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including HTTPS/TLS encryption in transit, bcrypt password hashing, secure HTTP-only cookies, and restricted database access. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security and are not liable for unauthorized access to your data resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Data Breach Notification: In the event of a security breach that affects your personal data, we will notify affected users as required by applicable law, including Florida's Information Protection Act (FIPA), which generally requires notification within 30 days of determining a breach has occurred. Notification will be provided via the platform (in-app notice) or, where we have your email address, by email.

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to persons under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EU), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, contact us via the Support button on the site and we will delete it promptly.

8. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights including:

• Access: Request a copy of personal data we hold about you
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate personal data
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and personal data (note: forum posts may be anonymized rather than deleted to preserve thread integrity)
• Data Portability: Request your data in a portable format
• Opt-out of push notifications: Manage or revoke push notification subscriptions at any time from your browser settings or the /alerts page

To exercise these rights, contact us via the Support button on the site. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before processing requests.

California Residents (CCPA): You have the right to know what personal information we collect, to delete it, and to opt out of its sale. We do not sell personal information. For CCPA requests, use the Support button on the site.

Florida Residents (FDBR): Under the Florida Digital Bill of Rights (effective July 1, 2024), Florida consumers may have rights regarding access, correction, deletion, and portability of personal data processed by qualifying controllers. To the extent GoHereBro meets the applicable thresholds under the FDBR, we will honor verified requests submitted via the Support button. We do not sell personal data or use it for targeted advertising.

EU/UK Residents (GDPR): Our legal basis for processing your data is (a) contract performance for account and subscription features, (b) legitimate interests for analytics and security, and (c) consent where explicitly requested. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

9. Public Data Sources

GoHereBro aggregates information from publicly available IBEW local dispatch pages, scale rate databases, and related public sources. This data is not "personal information" in the traditional sense — it consists of job call listings, contractor names, and related employment information voluntarily published by local unions. We scrape only publicly accessible pages and preserve raw source text for audit purposes.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy with a revised "Last Updated" date. For material changes, we will provide notice via an in-platform announcement. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
